ติดตั้ง ubuntu desktop เพิ่มให้กับ ubuntu server

• ทดสอบกับ ubuntu 8.04

1. เนื่องจาก ubuntu server ที่ติดตั้งเสร็จแล้ว จะใช้งานเป็นแบบ text เท่านั้น เพราะไม่มี desktop graphic ติดตั้งมาด้วย
   ถ้าต้องการ desktop graphic ก็ต้องติดตั้งโปรแกรมเพิ่มเติมเอง
   
   
2. หากมีการต่ออินเทอร์เนต และสามารถงาน update packages ผ่านอินเทอร์เนตได้อยู่แล้ว ให้ติดตั้งด้วยด้วยคำสั่งดังนี้
   sudo apt-get update
   sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop
   ระบบก็จะเริ่มติดตั้งผ่านอินเทอร์เนต แล้วก็รอๆๆ รอนานแค่ไหน ก็ขึ้นกับความเร็วของอินเทอร์เนต
   เมื่อติดตั้งเสร็จแล้ว ก็ให้รีบูท server ใหม่
   
   
3. หากไม่มีการต่ออินเทอร์เนต ก็สามารถติดตั้งเพิ่มจากแผ่นซีดีได้
   โดยต้องดาวน์โหลดแฟ้มรุ่น alternate มาเขียนแผ่นซีดีก่อน
   ตัวอย่างนี้เลือกใช้แฟ้ม ftp://ftp.psu.ac.th/pub/ubuntu/8.04/ubuntu-8.04.2-alternate-i386.iso
   เมื่อได้แผ่นซีดีพร้อมแล้ว ให้ทำดังนี้
   
   ป้อนคำสั่ง sudo apt-cdrom add ได้ข้อความหน้าจอประมาณว่า
   Using CD-ROM mount point /cdrom/
   Unmounting CD-ROM
   Waiting for disc...
   Please insert a Disc in the drive and press enter
   
   ให้ใส่แผ่นซีดีรุ่น alternate ที่เตรียมไว้ เข้าไปในเครื่องอ่านแผ่นซีดี แล้วกดแป้น Enter
   ได้ข้อความหน้าจอประมาณว่า
   Mounting CD-ROM...
   Identifying.. [20affedc891eeea83895dc4a54c37c3e-2]
   Scanning disc for index files..
   Found 2 package indexes, 0 source indexes, 0 translation indexes and 1 signatures
   Found label 'Ubuntu 8.04.2 _Hardy Heron_ - Release i386 (20090121.2)'
   This disc is called:
   'Ubuntu 8.04.2 _Hardy Heron_ - Release i386 (20090121.2)'
   Copying package lists...gpgv: Signature made Wed Jan 21 18:44:44 2009 ICT using DSA key ID FBB75451
   gpgv: Good signature from "Ubuntu CD Image Automatic Signing Key "
   Reading Package Indexes... Done
   Writing new source list
   Source list entries for this disc are:
   deb cdrom:[Ubuntu 8.04.2 _Hardy Heron_ - Release i386 (20090121.2)]/ hardy main restricted
   Unmounting CD-ROM...
   Repeat this process for the rest of the CDs in your set.
   
   ถึงตอนนี้ระบบก็จะเพิ่มข้อมูลจากแผ่นซีดีเข้าในระบบ ให้ป้อนคำสั่งต่อดังนี้คือ
   sudo apt-get update
   sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop
   ระบบก็จะเริ่มติดตั้งผ่านซีดี แล้วก็รอๆๆ รอนานแค่ไหน ก็ขึ้นกับความแรงของเครื่อง PC
   เมื่อติดตั้งเสร็จแล้ว ก็ให้นำแผ่นซีดีออก แล้วรีบูท server ใหม่
